PL4E incorporates an advanced advertisement manager Software which empowers the site designer, the Site Administrator and makes the visitor's journey into the site very fruitful and enjoyable.

Features conceived for the Site Administrator:

The Site Admin can define:

• The pages on which ads will appear, e.g.: The Home Page, The News Page, etc.
• The types of the ads, be it an image, an image plus descriptions, an HTML code, etc.
  He can define types called "banner" and "image100x100". He can then create ads of specific types and associate them with one or more pages.

He can define whether a new window will be opened when the user clicks on the ad.

Whether the ad is local (for the site) or if it is a 3rd party one. (The Site Admin may choose to dedicate a few banners or ads to third party products. In this case, the Ad server can be set to give priority to 3rd party ads enabling the site to make more money).

PL4E AD manager provides two Counter Facilities:

• The exposure counter (which tells how many times the ad was displayed on the site) and,
• The click-through counter (which specifies how many times a user has clicked on the ad).

These Counters are very useful and inspiring for the Site Admin and for the company who is promoting products on the site. The features developed for the site designer are explained in "Creating the Web Site" down in this document.
